The first conference for mechanical engineers and gas inspectors of the Engineering System Organization in Khuzestan Province was held in Ahvaz.
Mr Omid Naderi, a member of the Mechanical Group and head of the facilities department at the Khuzestan building engineering organization, and executive secretary of the conference, stated in an interview with Poliran’s public relations that he would like to express his gratitude to all those who participated in this conference.
Mr Naderi indicated that the purpose of the gathering was to standardize the supervision process in mechanical installations, identify and analyze existing problems in mechanical engineering within the province, and promote mechanical engineering in the construction industry to address the most important needs related to this field.
He further emphasized that mechanical installations play a crucial role in construction, significantly contributing to the comfort and security of residents. In every building, mechanical installations encompass systems related to heating and cooling, water and sewage, gas provision, air conditioning, fire safety, and elevators. Therefore, it is essential to have a qualified individual known as a mechanical facilities engineer.
He pointed out that even minor disruptions or failures in these infrastructures can result in serious damages to the building and, consequently, considerable financial losses for the occupants.Mr Naderi noted that the mechanical engineering team in Khuzestan Province consists of a representative on the board of the organization, along with a five-member commission appointed as a specialized mechanical committee, working cohesively as a dynamic team to achieve the organization’s objectives alongside the esteemed board.
He explained that the objectives of the conference include facilitating dialogue among mechanical engineers and gas inspectors in the province, establishing uniform procedures for the inspection and supervision of mechanical and gas installations in buildings, and applying discussions from sections 16 and 17 of the National Building Regulations in the supervision process for mechanical installations.Mr Naderi described the conference as unique, given its goals and participants, along with the enthusiastic reception it received.
Additionally, he mentioned that four educational workshops related to the mechanical field were presented at the conference, covering topics such as familiarization with modern sewage and rainwater piping, understanding fusion welding technology in five-layer connections, legal issues in supervising mechanical facilities, and important inspection tips for welding on polyethylene pipes.
