The welded polyethylene system is the best choice for a building’s rainwater system in terms of lightness, simplicity, performance, reliability, lifespan and total cost. However, even when using 10-bar pipes and fittings, due to the common expansion sockets usually used in this system, it is practically impossible to test with a pressure of more than 1.8 bar (18) meters of water column. However, these systems have many limitations compared to polymer systems, and in addition to the high initial cost and implementation, they are subject to corrosion and decay over time, and their lifespan is shorter.
